DCBL The UK’s #1 Debt Collection & High Court Enforcement Company – Since relocating, DCBL has continued to develop our award-winning service and further cement the team as industry leaders. Doubling in staff and expanding into a brand-new head office, we have been persistent in taking UK High Court Enforcement and Debt Recovery by storm.
After embracing the world stage and changing the public perception of bailiffs, more and more businesses feel represented and entitled to recover what’s theirs. Now, we are focusing our undivided attention on redefining excellence in debt collection as well as sustaining our 98% client retention rate.
Both our CEO Gary Robinson and the wider DCBL team aim to change the industry forever.
Industry leaders – DCBL The UK’s #1 Debt Collection & High Court Enforcement Company
To offer an unrivalled service, we needed a base that allowed us to grow. Such a space came in the form of an expansive head office in Cheshire. Following the move last year, we’ve seen our internal staff numbers increase by 44% (65% including staff across our Direct group), making us the UK’s most formidable force when it comes to High Court enforcement and debt recovery.
But we didn’t want our growth to come at the expense of service – it needed to be sustainable. We pride ourselves on our meticulous approach, so we were careful to ensure that growing at this rate didn’t threaten our ability to assess every claim’s validity – and success for that matter.
Consequently, since early 2018, we’ve hired a significant number of internal employees intending to develop our infrastructure, along with field staff responsible for delivering on our promise of unrivalled recovery. Each new member of the team has been trained rigorously to meet our high standards.
Investors in people
As part of our commitment to maintaining client and employee retention, we’ve facilitated regular training within each of our departments, prompting members of staff to become certified. These include:
- CICM Level 2& 3 Taking Control of Goods – To develop a complete understanding of our role, all back-office staff are encouraged to complete their certifications in ‘Taking Control of Goods’.
- GDPR Refresher Training – Ethical enforcement includes correct data use, so all teams (including enforcers) are trained annually in their GDPR rights and responsibilities.
- Anti-Terrorism Training – Known as Action Counters Terrorism (ACT), these e-learning courses are designed to provide all employees with the most contemporary understanding of the current situation and mitigation of potential attacks.
Most recently, we’re rolled out training to secure the Credit Services Association (CSA) Collector Accreditation Initiative (CAI) status. We can’t expect employees to assess every case with proficiency without holding ourselves to the same account. That’s why we’ve held a membership with the CSA for several years. This next stage further demonstrates our commitment to keeping operational practices as effective and compliant as possible (see our full list of accreditations here).
Committed to best practice
Our work requires the pursuit of accurate information to be balanced against the reality of what’s achievable. We aren’t in the business of wasting time and won’t take a case on that can’t be collected. Ultimately, we believe that the better the quality of resources given, the higher the chances of success.
Our MD distilled his methodology throughout our expansion. Reflecting on our recent move and new hires, Gary explained:
“We are very excited about our recent office expansion, which is in line with the unprecedented demand for our services. DCBL’s philosophy of ‘one solution…debt recovery made simple’ has cemented our position as the UK’s number one High Court enf orcement and debt recovery option. The next five years are forecast to be the most successful period in the company’s history.”
