Face to face debt collection is one of the services that sets DCBL apart from other debt collection agencies. Unlike many of our competitors, DCBL has invested in our people and not automated dialling systems. Decades of experience has taught us that emails, telephone calls, text messages and letters are a lot easier to ignore than a face to face conversation.
Our Face to Face Approach
On the instruction of debt, we complete a full financial profile including real-time trace, address verification, financial, asset and credit score of the debtor. This information is a key factor in speaking to or meeting the debtor face to face and reaching a speedy conclusion.
Initially, contact is made by letter and telephone to open up lines of communication and tactfully negotiate a settlement. However, if these are ignored, field agents will visit the debtor’s premises and talk face to face with the debtor. This escalation from telephone to face to face contact is often enough to get the debtor to pay back the money they owe.
Face to face debt collection is not a strategy most debt collection agencies in the UK use because it costs more in company resources, requires more highly trained staff and needs experience behind it. However, DCBL isn’t most collection agencies: we’re one of the UK’s most effective. Our face-to-face approach gets results.
