Theft Prevented By Direct Security Solutions

Following the theft of expensive equipment, one of our clients asked us to recommence security at a construction site in Cheshire.

Due to the threat of a repeat offence, we deployed our specialist dog handlers and it didn’t take them long to show their value and effectiveness when a group of suspicious males were sighted in the evening darkness shining torches from the site perimeter. Alerted by the dog, our handler went to the area and saw the males using torches on some high-value machinery, similar to what had been stolen a few weeks before. Our handler challenged the males who walked away from the fence line but they remained in the area. We immediately deployed another dog handler and one of our patrol and response units who quickly made it to the scene but before they arrived, the suspicious males had left empty-handed.

The majority of construction site clients these days are understandably attracted by video motion alarm detection cameras or CCTV towers and there is no doubt they have their uses, indeed, we use them ourselves. But, this kit is only as good as the human beings monitoring them and the speed and effectiveness of the response units.
