DCBL Proudly Sponsors Widnes Vikings For 2024/25 Season

DCBL are extremely proud to announce a multi-year deal as principal kit sponsor for the Widnes Vikings Rugby League team.

The deal will see the DCBL brand feature on the front of our home and away shirts for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, with an option for 2026.

The Vikings have a great and proud history, so when we were approached about supporting the club over the coming seasons, we were delighted and had no hesitation in agreeing a deal.

On the announcement of the new main sponsorship deal with DCBL, Head of Operations Christopher Hamilton commented:

“We are naturally delighted to have secured this deal with DCBL.”

“It is a very good deal for the club, and it is our intention to make it a very good deal for DCBL. From the outset, both Gary Robinson, Group CEO, and Darren Connor, Managing Director, have been a pleasure to deal with”

“As Vikings fans will already know their naming rights deal for the stadium brings crucial finance into Halton Council to help meet the running costs of the stadium and this substantial deal with us, further underlines their commitment to the club and local community, something they were very keen to do right from the start.

Gary Robinson, Founder and CEO of DCBL commented:

“DCBL are thrilled to have secured an agreement to become the main sponsor of the Widnes Vikings Rugby League Club on a multi-year deal.

“The Vikings have a great and proud history, so when we were approached about supporting the club over the coming seasons, we were delighted and had no hesitation in agreeing a deal.

“When our business operations moved to the Halton Region, I gave a personal commitment to invest locally, through investment in the community and the creation of jobs opportunities for local people.

“This exciting deal also comes on the back of DCBL’s extension of our contract with the Halton Council for the naming rights to the DCBL Stadium, the home of the Vikings.

“I look forward to continuing DCBL’s support of the Widnes Vikings and as a keen supporter, enjoying what we all hope will be an enjoyable and successful season.”

Darren Connor, Managing Director of DCBL said:

“When speaking with Chris Hamilton, Head of Operations for the Widnes Vikings, I was taken with the drive and ambition he had to bring back the glory days to this great club and have a real push for promotion.

“Agreeing to be the main sponsor for the Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair teams, along with providing support for the Learning Disability team is a really proud moment for me personally and the team at DCBL, a number of who are lifelong Vikings fans.

“I hope that this deal is only the start of things to come and there are further opportunities to show our long-term commitment to the local community and this great club, working alongside Chris and his team.”
