DCBL sponsor Widnes Vikings’ Kit for their 150th Season

DCBL is set to feature as the main shirt sponsor for Widnes Vikings during the 2025 season. The Runcorn-based company will partner with the former world champions as its front of shirt sponsor for the second year running as they celebrate 150 years in rugby league.
The DCBL logo will feature front and centre of the special anniversary edition of the Widnes shirt for the upcoming season: A ‘Home’ black kit inspired by the first-ever Widnes top in 1875, and an ‘Away’ strip with two diagonal strips of red and a thick black ‘V’ shape on the chest.
DCBL will continue to support the entire family of Vikings teams – Men’s, Women’s, Learning Disability and Wheelchair squads – throughout the 2025 campaign, having acted as the official sponsor of the 13,350-capacity stadium since 2020 (signing an additional multi-year deal in 2023 to become principal kit sponsor).
Following the club’s 150th kit launch in December, DCBL Managing Director Darren Connor stated: “We’re excited to kick off another season as kit and stadium sponsors of the Vikings. The team and stadium are a central pillar of the community which brings together people of all ages, and we’re proud to get behind them.
“It was great to catch up with the players and coaches at the launch event and to hear about the plans for the upcoming season. There is a real drive and ambition here to bring back the glory days to Widnes and we’re committed to joining them on this journey.
“This great club has made waves across the world during its 150-year history – having been crowned World Champions and European Champions whilst also winning six Premiership trophies and seven Challenge Cups.
“This is a huge season for Widnes and it is an honour to play such a key role in a historic campaign. We are all looking forward to another strong year and hopefully some silverware.”

Widnes Men’s kick off their 150th campaign in the south of France against Toulouse Olympique on Saturday 15th February. The first league fixture at the DCBL Stadium will take place on Sunday 23rd February against Sheffield Eagles. Season tickets are available online now.
