DCBL shortlisted for two awards at the CICM British Credit Awards 2026

DCBL has been recognised for its continued investment and improvements in vulnerable customer support and technology, with two shortlistings at the CICM British Credit Awards 2026.

This year, we are finalists in two categories: Best Use of Technology and Excellence in Supporting Vulnerable Customers.

Hosted by the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM), the British Credit Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across the UK and global credit and collections industry. The annual awards ceremony returns on Thursday, 5 February 2026, at the Royal Lancaster London, bringing the sector together to recognise organisations and individuals driving meaningful progress.

Recognition of our continued progress

These nominations highlight two key areas that sit at the heart of all our work, continuously developing technology that improves efficiency, transparency and early engagement, and delivering consistent, high-quality support for customers in all situations.

Together, they reflect the progress we continue to make in strengthening our systems, refining our processes, and embedding a responsible approach across every stage of the journey. We pride ourselves on leading best practice in the credit and collections sector.

The latest shortlisting builds on DCBL’s award win at the Credit Connect Credit & Collections Technology Awards 2025. The team were recognised for its industry-leading work in collections and recoveries, and its use of technology in improving innovation in efficiency and engagement. Through its work with Aryza, DCBL were able to create a digital bridge between physical collections and digital payments, resolving 360,000 dormant cases.

The nominations also follow our previous recognition for technological innovation at the Credit Strategy Awards, demonstrating the ongoing impact of our investment in improvement and best practice, and continued industry recognition.

DCB Legal is the headline sponsor at the British Credit Awards

We’re also proud that our sister company, DCB Legal is the headline sponsor of the 2026 CICM awards. This partnership is a reflection of the wider group’s commitment to championing excellence across the industry, and highlights the ‘One Solution’ approach that can be achieved when the two business work together.

Commenting on the announcement, Darren Connor, Group COO of DCBL and DCB Legal. said: “We’re thrilled to be recognised once again for our continuous improvements in vulnerability support and technology. As DCBL reaches its 25th year in business, these shortlistings reflect the dedication of our teams and our ongoing commitment to delivering service excellence. We remain focused on raising standards, supporting customers, prompting early engagement, and investing in innovation that benefits everyone we work with.

“We would like to congratulate all the other finalists and wish everyone the very best of luck. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the industry together.”
